Senate Bills 437 and 438 sustain choice while ensuring reliable, affordable and clean energy for Michigan’s families and businesses – and businesses from across the state are coming out in support. In fact, the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce issued a release applauding the passage of the Nofs-Proos legislation, saying:
The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and our 1,300 Macomb County member businesses applaud the Michigan Senate – and specifically our area’s Senators Tory Rocca, Jack Brandenburg and Steve Bieda – for taking a key step forward in securing our state’s energy future by passing Senate Bills 437 and 438.
This bipartisan legislation sustains electric choice and will ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy that’s essential for our job providers to compete and do business, our communities to grow and thrive, and our residents to have the energy they need to power their lives.
We urge the Michigan House and our representatives to quickly pass this legislation that puts Michigan first and assures reliable electricity for all.
